$2 Million Is at Stake for PokerStars Players in PA

PA poker players can participate in traditional poker tournaments this time of year. In addition, PokerStars has announced the return of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) in 2023, with a guaranteed prize pool of over $2 million for the Keystone State and a nationwide total of $5 million, as stated in a company press release.

The full SCOOP 2023 schedule has over 250 events, with the first tournament on March 17 and the final event on April 3. The good news for PA poker enthusiasts is that buy-ins start at $10.

More Satellite Events Are Available for Players

PokerStars Pennsylvania players and those in the other two states participating can select from a vast selection of satellite events, with entry fees as low as $1. In addition, online poker is authorized and supervised in seven states, including Nevada.

Severin Rassed from PokerStars is excited about upcoming events. He said the company made an elaborate effort to create a broad schedule inclusive to players for a wide range of buy-ins. The goal is to create opportunities for everyone to compete for the SCOOP trophy.

The Tournament Kicks off on March 17

On St. Patrick’s Day, PA online casino site players can begin their online poker journey with an 8-Game Championship special, followed by a Turbo Night Fight, with buy-ins ranging from $20 to $200.

Regarding prize distribution, players from Michigan and New Jersey will have a shared prize pool of $3 million guaranteed (also known as split liquidity). The remaining $2 million is reserved solely for Pennsylvania poker players.

The two-day SCOOP series Main Event, with $200,000 guaranteed for Pennsylvania mobile gaming app customers and $300,000 combined for New Jersey and Michigan players, will require a $300 buy-in. Additionally, there is a Mini Main Event with a $50 buy-in and a High Roller Main Event with a $2,500 buy-in.

More Trophies Coming from SCOOP

Money is not the only prize tournament participants will fight for. Across the competitions, there will be more than 90 trophies awarded.
