Licensed and regulated in Pennsylvania, BetMGM Poker PA is a legal poker room, part of the more prominent BetMGM brand that covers sports betting, casino gambling, and poker in more than 20 states.

Offering a 100% welcome bonus of up to $1,000, BetMGM Poker is affiliated with MGM Resorts, Partypoker, and Entian. Moreover, it boasts partnerships with the NHL, NBA, MLS, and many others.

BetMGM Poker PA 100% Welcome Bonus and $75 in Tournament Tickets

All newly registered Pennsylvania players can get a welcome package consisting of two poker bonuses:

  • 100% deposit match bonus up to $1,000

  • Up to $75 in tournament tickets

There’s no promo code to use; you only need to register and deposit to score these instant bonuses.

100% Match Bonus Up to $1,000

The central part of the welcome package is the deposit bonus. It’s a 100% matched offer, meaning you get the same amount you deposit as a free bonus, but only up to $1,000. For instance, if you deposit $300, you’ll get $600 in your account balance.

To claim the bonus, you must:

  1. Register at BetMGM Poker PA.
  2. Make your first deposit in the initial seven days. The amount has to be $10 or higher.

To be eligible for the offer, you must be a new customer, 21 years old, and playing in Pennsylvania.

You can only claim the bonus once, which will last for 120 days. It means you must complete the wager requirements by that point, or the free money will expire.

Here’s how it works:

The bonus funds aren’t withdrawable but are released to your actual balance in increments of 10% at a rate of 14x. In other words, you can release some bonus funds every time you earn 14 times your bonus increment in Reward Points.

So, if you deposited $300 and received $300 in bonus poker funds, the latter is released in $30 increments, while you need to make 420 Reward Points for each increment. You can then cash out any increment released to your account balance.

You can use the bonus prizes on all poker games that generate a rake and tournaments with fees.

$75 in BetMGM Poker Tournament Tickets

You also get an add-on — MTT tickets — by claiming the welcome deposit bonus. You can get up to $75 worth of tickets for free play, while the exact amount depends on how much you deposit. Here’s an overview:

  • Deposit from $10 to $499 — Get $25 in tickets (one worth $20 and another worth $5)

  • Deposit from $500 to $999 — Get $50 in tickets (one worth $20, two worth $10, and two worth $5)

  • Deposit $1,000 — Get $75 in tickets (two worth $20, three worth $10, and one worth $5)

The tickets last 14 days from the date they are awarded, and each is used in a corresponding tournament series. For example, you can use a $5 ticket only in $5 buy-in competitions.

The claiming procedure is the same as for the initial deposit bonus, as the tournament tickets are an added reward, so you don’t have to worry about a bonus code.

BetMGM Rewards

The BetMGM website and MGM Resort properties have a loyalty program called BetMGM Rewards. Wherever you start playing, you’ll be a part of it. So, for instance, if you’ve ever been a member of one of the resort properties, you’re already a member of BetMGM Poker PA.

The program provides five levels with rewards and perks for each. You reach each tier by crossing a point milestone, and points are accumulated through real-money wagers in sports betting, casino, and poker sections. You earn both BetMGM Reward Points and Tier Credits. The former is used in the Rewards Store, while the latter track your tier progress.

As we’re here to talk only about BetMGM Poker in Pennsylvania, here’s how to win points and credits while playing poker:

  • $100 in cash game rake — Up to 500 points and 500 credits

  • $100 in tournament fees — Up to 500 points and 500 credits

As stated, there are six tiers in the program:

  • Sapphire — 0–19,999 tier credits

  • Pearl — Over 20,000 tier credits

  • Gold — Over 75,000 tier credits

  • Platinum — Over 200,000 tier credits

  • Noir — Only by invitation

Every level grants you perks and rewards, including:

  • Discounted or free room nights in one of MGM’s resorts

  • Birthday free bet that increases with every tier (from $5 to $200)

  • Anniversary (date of your initial real-money wager) free bet that grows with every level (from $5 to $200)

More BetMGM rewards and perks will follow at other levels:

  • Starting at the Pearl tier, you get a match bonus that gets bigger with every level (from $10 to 40%).

  • Starting at the Gold tier, you get premium customer support.

  • Starting at the Platinum tier, you get faster window service in resort sportsbooks.

  • Starting at the Noir tier, you get a dedicated VIP host.

If you want to stay and gamble at an MGM Resort, you’ll get plenty of other perks through this program, including concert tickets, valet parking, early check-in, and more.

Sit & Go Leaderboards at BetMGM Poker in PA

BetMGM PA boasts regular Sit & Go leaderboards with two tiers — Low and High. You collect points and rank in the leaderboards through regular real-money play in sit & go’s, and there’s no need to opt-in separately. Here are the buy-ins and prizes for both tiers:

Tier name Buy-in Prize pool (every week)

High Tier

$10, $20, $50, $100, $200, and $500

$1,500

Low Tier

$1, $2, and $5

$500

Sit-and-go tournaments are frequent at BetMGM Poker, but they are jam-packed during peak times, usually around 4 p.m.

Keystone Grind Events

BetMGM Poker Pennsylvania runs the Keystone Grind, a monthly promotion that can earn you up to $6,500, but you have to be a loyal player. That’s because your reward depends on the number of Reward Points earned for the month, so the more you play, the higher your prize.

You need to accumulate 100 points to qualify, which will entitle you to a $1 prize. It seems insignificant, but the rate improves as you play, as the promo has a couple of levels, each with better rewards. The highest extra cash payout, $6,500, is yours once you collect 300,000 points.

BetMGM Brand Ambassador Darren Elias

On September 17, 2021, BetMGM announced that Darren Elias, the famous pro poker player, would become Partypoker’s brand ambassador. He is part of a large family of BetMGM ambassadors, including Connor McDavid, Kevin Garnett, Wayne Gretzky, and others.

Darren Elias is primarily known for holding the most WPT titles, as he currently has four. After playing actively for over a decade, he has accumulated more than $10 million in live poker earnings and over $8 million in online poker winnings. He’s played in the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour, and the European Poker Tour. Darren won his first WPT in 2014.

BetMGM Online Poker Tournaments

BetMGM Pennsylvania hosts several types of tournaments, including daily and weekly multi-table competitions, multi-state contests, and various sit-and-go’s.

Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs)

Poker MTTs are made for all players, as you can get freerolls and buy-ins starting at $0.25 and going up to $535 almost daily.

For example, there are daily tournaments with the rebuy option, so you can enter again even if you lose. There is also a Sunday $25,000 guaranteed tournament with $215 buy-ins and 12-minute blind levels, and more.

These typically feature No Limit Hold’em, but there are also Omaha competitions.

Sit & Go Tournaments

BetMGM Poker PA hosts many sit-and-go competitions with buy-ins of as little as $1 and up to $500. SNGs are all Texas Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha and can have one, two, three, or five tables.

They are effectively the same as MTTs, but they start as soon as the required number of players arrives.

The qualifiers are the most exciting SNG competitions, but there are also weekly majors, which serve as satellites that put you up for WPT events.

Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments

If you like jackpot SNGs, you’ll be glad to know that BetMGM Pennsylvania has its own version called SPINS Tournaments.

Buy-ins are only $1–$25, while the prize pools are many times larger. That’s because the competitions feature multipliers from 2x to 1,200x. With a buy-in of $25, you stand to win as much as $30,000.

All jackpot SNGs offer fast-paced gameplay, and blind levels go up every three minutes.

Multi-State Online Poker

Unfortunately, BetMGM Poker PA is yet to join the shared liquidity multi-state player pools. It is because Pennsylvania has yet to sign the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) or allow cross-state play. It’s the biggest regulated poker market in the USA, but it is one of the few that have not joined the compact.

We haven’t seen any indication that Pennsylvania will do so so you won’t find multi-state tournaments at BetMGM soon.

Cash Games at BetMGM Poker PA

You’ll mostly find Hold’em cash games at BetMGM PA, typically Fixed Limit and No Limit, while there’s also a decent selection of Pot Limit Omaha games. They are simple, made for quick play, and primarily for beginners. The blinds never change, and you can play as much as you want, so there’s little risk involved, especially if you opt for games with $0.01/$0.02 blind levels.

There are games with buy-ins as low as $0.60 and as high as $5,000, making them interesting for both beginners and pro players.

You can play a heads-up game, a full eight-player table, or even six-handed ones. There are many options for everyone, and the good news is that the filter feature lets you quickly find the type of game you want to join.

BetMGM Poker Software

BetMGM Poker PA is powered by partypoker, one of the most reputable names on the online poker market. Even though it used to have issues, the product now works without a hitch and is typically considered one of the best available.

Both partypoker and BetMGM are part of the same brand in the US, meaning only BetMGM has access to this software. You’ll still find it in other states where BetMGM operates, but there is no shared pool of players between them.

BetMGM Poker PA App on Desktop and Mobile

BetMGM Pennsylvania has an app you can download to your laptop, PC, Mac, or smartphone.

You must be physically located in Pennsylvania and 21 years old to download it. The site checks this as you have to enable geolocation tracking on your device.

If you want to use the desktop client, you’ll only need 512 MB of RAM and a screen resolution of at least 800×600 pixels with 256 colors. In essence, even the oldest Windows and Apple computers will work.

The app on iOS and Android is essentially the same, offering the same options and giving you access to most of what BetMGM has.

BetMGM Poker PA Banking Options

BetMGM Poker Pennsylvania provides various deposit and withdrawal options, including bank transfers, credit cards, electronic wallets, electronic checks, and even prepaid cards. None of the payments come with fees on the part of BetMGM, but some might come from the provider.

All transactions are safe as the site uses TLS1.2 encryption and proper TLS/SSL certificates. You’ll use the standard Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode functions when paying with Visa and Mastercard.

Bottom Line

BetMGM Poker PA is an excellent option for all poker players from Keystone State. It comes with rewarding bonuses, plenty of tournaments, a large player base, and enough payment methods to make depositing and withdrawing easy.

It uses partypoker software, so you know you’ll be able to play poker whenever you want without running into glitches, bugs, or lags that can ruin the fun. If you’re going to start playing cash games, join a sit-and-go, or play in a tournament with large prize pools, head to BetMGM Poker PA and open an account.
